FAQ

About Microneedling with Dermapen 4

What is microneedling with Dermapen 4?

It’s a treatment that uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping improve texture, fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation. The Dermapen 4 can be used on the face, neck, and body.
Most people find it very tolerable. A numbing cream is applied before treatment, so discomfort is minimal. You may feel a light prickling or warmth during the procedure, and the skin can feel tender or red for a day or two afterwards.
It’s ideal for people with fine lines, acne scars, uneven texture, large pores, pigmentation, or stretch marks. It’s not suitable if you have active skin infections, severe eczema/psoriasis, open wounds, or a history of keloid scars. A consultation will confirm if it’s right for you.
Most people need 3 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, for best results. After that, maintenance every 6 to 12 months is usually recommended. Your exact plan depends on your skin type and goals, which will be discussed at consultation.
A treatment usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area treated. This includes cleansing, applying numbing cream, and the procedure itself. Afterwards, skin may look red or feel tender for a day or two, but recovery is quick.
Expect mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity for 1–3 days, with occasional light flaking for up to a week. Avoid makeup, sun exposure, and strenuous exercise for the first couple of days. Use gentle skincare and daily SPF to protect healing skin. Most people return to normal activities within 24–48 hours.
