Your treatment begins with a consultation to assess your skin, discuss your goals and confirm suitability. A personalised plan will be created based on the area being treated and the level of hydration or skin quality improvement required.
During the procedure, small amounts of hyaluronic acid are injected just below the skin surface using a fine needle or cannula technique. The aim is to distribute hydration evenly through the treatment area.
A course of 1-3 sessions spaced around 4 weeks apart is commonly recommended, followed by maintenance treatments to help sustain the result.
Downtime is usually minimal, but you may notice small bumps, redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection points. These are common with injectable treatments and normally settle within a few days.
We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, heat treatments, saunas, steam rooms and facial treatments for the first 24-48 hours. Makeup should be avoided immediately after treatment unless your practitioner advises otherwise.
